Finally we got our act together and fixed our "add to cart" issue! No more fluffing around with order forms and seperate payment options.
Add to Cart (should be) working in our store from today, 21/02/2021. Yay! In addition, you can now 'Register' an account and 'Log in' whenever you return to our store...

Springtime 2020! 🌵🦋🐌🌵🦟🦎🍄🌵 It's 22:44 on the the evening of 14 November 2020. And look at what has graced us with her presence..❤️Isn't she just magnificent! @SanPedroBlueInBloom @UrbanTribes  Spring time 2017 is well underway. We have been very busy in the garden. However, there are still weeds, slugs and snails... we just don't like to use pesticides... We even have a little Eulamprus quoyii, commonly known as the eastern water skink living in our kitchen eating the cockies that crawl under the door at night. I’m not a huge fan of reptiles but I like the little guy. We have some Lophophora williamsii available in our store. Again, limited stock but anyone who grows these fascinating creatures will know why. We have Lophophora williamsii var. caespitosa in the mix too. Grown from seed. The seeds that we planted many years ago were a mix from both our mature flowering lophophora williamsii and lophophore williamsii var caespitosa (placed in the same container by mistake when collecting). We have had many requests for Lophophora Williamsii - Peyote Button so we have, again, made a few available for Australian collectors. We only have limited stock so get in quick! We also have a few Lophophora williamsii var. caespitose available for sale. We grew these guys from seed, We planted them in the year 2002. We grew these special guys from seed 15 years ago, nurturing through each season. We grew them on their own root system rather than accelerating their growth by grafting. And now their available to be adopted. 5 of the 8 are still waiting for good homes..$100 each (includes postage). Our story UrbanTribes is a garden (we call Needle Park Cactus Nursery) located in Australia. We are dedicated to sourcing specialist, exotic & culturally significant plants and cactus. We have accumulated many species in the last 25 years.
We created UrbanTribes in order to share our collection and knowledge after requests for cuttings from like-minded collectors that had trouble locating nurseries in Australia that specialize in Medicinal, Visionary, and Sacred Cacti. We are not a "business" as such, we have no business plan rather this is a hobby that Mark and I enjoy. We both work full time. We don't make a profit from selling our cuttings of our cacti, nor is it our intention. The little money collected from this website and garden visits goes back into our cactus collection and maintenance of our garden. UrbanTribes garden is located in our residential home. Our collection consists predominantly of: Lophophora Williamsii, commonly known by the Spanish name; Peyote. Echinopsis pachanoi (syn Trichocereus pachanoi), the San Pedro cactus. Echinopsis peruviana (syn Trichocereus peruvianus), Peruvian Torch cactus. Echinopsis lageniformis (syn Trichocereus bridgesii), Bolivian torch cactus.and mostruosa inermis varieties of Bridgesii and Pachanoi, Echinopsis candicans forma cristata (syn Trichocereus candicans). Echinopsis spachianus (syn: Trichocereus spachianus). Ariocarpus retusus plus many more Our garden, located at our residence in the Hills District of Sydney, was cultivated from species we obtained from expert vendors in Australia and South America. Established in 1991, our cacti are healthy, mature, towering over 16 feet high and bloom annually. The flowers are breathtakingly beautiful, large, white and bloom at night; they are exceptionally fragrant and spectacular to view; they size up to 22 cm in diameter. We do not use pesticides in the maintenance of our garden. Weeding is done (fairly irregularly we must admit) by 'good ol' elbow grease. We nurture 3 greenhouses, where our cherished collection of Lophophora Williamsii and Ariocarpus call home. A majority of our collection is originally native to southwestern Texas and Mexico and the Andes Mountains of Ecuador and Peru. Also found in Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. Lophophora Williamsii is found primarily in the Chihuahuan desert and in the states of Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosi. All our cacti are also cultivated in other parts of the world. The cuttings we send from UrbanTribes store are fat & mature. All our cuttings are very healthy specimens. Due to age, some may show scaring. This does not however impact the health of the cactus. We have included our guide on how to care for your cacti, see cactus care, link on the left. We have removed Echinopsis lageniformis (syn Trichocereus bridgesii), Bolivian torch cactus and Lophophora Williamsii, Peyote button, from our store for a time in order to replenish our stock.
We will add the Echinopsis lageniformis back as soon as we can, probably after this summers, 2016, growth spurt! As for our beloved Lophophora Williamsii, well, as you can probably appreciate the time it takes to grow one millimeter in size! We let go of 6 from our personal collection (even though, how sort after they are, it still took 1 year to sell them!). It might be a while before we make them available for sale again. We just wanted to let you all know UrbanTribes has NOT changed hands, no new management ect..... As we are not a "business" as such, we do occasionally experience issues with our electronic platform (website, email ect) We are gardeners not webmasters!!! lol. Our collection of exotic plants and cactus is our passion our Hobby that keeps us busy in our spare time, Mark and Jo also maintain full time jobs. The collection of exotic and culturally significant cactus is not a huge in demand product, we made this website for those few with similar interests to our own. There are not many San Pedro vendors here in Oz (You may have noticed?) Please be kind to us as we are still learning this program, Jo is the new L plate Webmaster. if you do come across any ideas or issues you find, we would appreciate a message from you. We have set up payments through PAYPAL, as requested by many of our UrbanTribers. Yay!! And you may have noticed our new FaceBook page? We will try and keep it updated with our activities in the Garden. :o) We only have our Trichocereus Pachanoi up for sale at the moment. As most of you will know, we do stock Trichocereus Peruvianus, Trichocereus Bridgesii and Lophophora Williamsii (a limited supply).
